Regia

The Brief

This idea came from the song Aqua Regia by Sleep Token.

Regia means a royal palace, castle, fortress, residence, court, kingship.

Aqua Regia is also known as royal water.

This helped me come up with the idea for a regal-themed lip balm and skincare set.

I chose the font first as I feel like the right font really makes the piece come together so I wanted a font that has a variety of glyphs for most letters so that I could focus on adding some class to one or multiple letters.

I chose the font Billy Magi for this reason as a variety of glyphs for most characters and fit well with the regal theme that I wanted to go with.

I then named the colours of the lip balms off of regal colours and named the lip balms accordingly.

Skincare

For the skincare idea I wanted to go more water-focused like a serum or a moisturiser, which is when I leant more towards Aqua Regia instead. Using water elements to create something that looks high-end and expensive by using bubbles and ripples and holographic-esque backgrounds.

The font really helped with this. I gave it an embossed look and added a gradient map and overlayed it to the image which made it looks like the text had a water texture.

I also created some mock ups of what the packaging could possibly look like and some ideas for social media and product images.
